Tags, custom fields and dynamic groups

Describe devices the way your business does, then filter, group, report and target on it.

Tags

Free-form labels. Add them on the machine page (Add tag), or select several machines and use Tag. Click a tag anywhere to filter the machines table. Rename or delete a tag across the fleet under Settings, Fields & Tags.

Custom fields

Settings, Fields & Tags: define fields once for the account (text, number, yes/no, date or a pick list). Add the usual set gives you asset tag, owner, location, department, purchase date, warranty end and criticality. Fill them on each machine's Overview tab. They appear in device filters, dynamic groups and reports.

Dynamic groups

Settings, Groups: a group built from rules on any field, including tags and custom fields. It recalculates as devices change. Target policies, scripts, jobs and maintenance windows at it.
